Organic Fertilization

Our organic fertilization programs uses safe, natural, and organic materials to provide your garden with the necessary nutrients for healthy growth. Our team customizes four blends of fertilizers specific to your property’s needs and applies them four times a year.

How does Organic Fertilization work?

At the beginning of every season, we assess your lawn’s condition by conducting a soil test to determine its specific needs. Then, we provide a custom mix of slow-release organic fertilizers and soil amendments to ensure that your lawn receives the right nutrients for healthy growth. Our fertilizer season starts in March and goes through November, so you can enjoy a lush and green lawn all year long.

What is in our Organic Fertilizer?

We are proud to share the ingredients used in our organic fertilizers, which are carefully selected to provide natural nourishment for your lawn. Our custom blends are designed to promote healthy growth and improve soil health without the use of harmful synthetic chemicals, making them safe for your family and the environment. We use four different blends that are custom to meet the specific needs of your property, and these are applied four times a year.

Limestone

The soil in our region is notoriously acidic. Limestone helps to neutralize soil acidity and improve nutrient availability, creating a more favorable environment for your lawn grasses and promoting plant growth. We apply Limestone once in the spring, and again in the fall.

Iron

Iron helps to promote a deep green color, improves overall growth and density, and helps to strengthen the grass to resist disease. A lawn that is rich in iron is also more tolerant to stress caused by heat, drought, and heavy traffic. We apply Iron 3 times per season.

Gypsum

Gypsum helps to improve soil structure, increase water infiltration, and reduce soil compaction. It provides the essential nutrients calcium and sulfur, which play a vital role in the absorption of other nutrients and increase the efficiency of your soil’s use of nitrogen. We apply Gypsum 3 times per season.

Biochar

Biochar is a type of charcoal that is made from organic materials such as wood or agricultural waste. When added to soil, biochar can improve soil structure, increase water retention, and promote healthy microbial activity. It can also help reduce nutrient leaching, which can lead to a healthier and more resilient lawn. Additionally, Biochar can also act as a carbon sink, helping to mitigate the effects of climate change by sequestering carbon. We apply Biochar 3 times per season.

Humic Acid

Humic acid is a type of organic matter that can improve soil structure, increase water retention and nutrient uptake, and promote healthy root growth. It can also increase the population of beneficial microorganisms in the soil which can improve soil health. We apply Humic Acid 3 times per season.

Molasses

Molasses is a source of carbon and energy for soil microorganisms, which can lead to an increase in beneficial microbial activity in the soil. This can help improve soil structure, nutrient cycling, and disease. We apply Molasses 3 times per season.

Topdressing

Topdressing is a technique that involves spreading a layer of compost over the surface of the lawn. Soil quality is important for the health and growth of grass, and topdressing helps to enrich it. By adding organic matter, topdressing can improve the soil’s structure and fertility, allowing roots to penetrate more deeply and access more nutrients. We apply 3/8″ of compost in the spring for best results.

They do not contain synthetic chemicals, making them safer for you, your family, and the environment. We apply 4 different blends customized specific for your property 4 times a year.

We apply Limestone once in the spring, and again in the fall.

Our Advanced Plan includes everything from the Essential Plan, PLUS 3 soil amendment applications throughout the season. Soil Amendments include Iron, Gypsum, Biochar, Humic Acid, and Molasses, all of which will help to improve soil structure, strengthen the cell walls of your grass, and encourage deeper root growth which will help it survive and thrive through the intense heat and drought of our summers.
