Our Service Agreement

We’re dedicated to providing you with top-notch, eco-friendly lawn and garden care services. Our Terms of Service outline what you can expect from us and what we kindly ask of you in return. By choosing us, you’re not just getting a service; you’re investing in a greener, more gorgeous tomorrow. Let’s grow together
Scope of Services
We will provide the lawn and garden care services as listed and described in the agreed upon quote. This service agreement will commence on your acceptance of that quote or on the first day of service, whichever comes first.
To ensure the highest quality of service and to protect both parties, please note:
Underground Obstructions: While performing digging or installation services, we may encounter unforeseen underground obstructions (e.g., roots, rocks, rubbish). In such cases, we reserve the right to adjust the scope of work as necessary. We will communicate any changes or additional costs before proceeding.
Undisclosed Property Issues: Upon initial evaluation of the property, should we discover conditions that were not disclosed and significantly affect our ability to perform the agreed services (e.g., soil conditions, overgrowth), we may need to reevaluate the project’s scope and pricing. This will be done in consultation with you to find the best path forward.
Change Requests: If you wish to modify the scope of your service (e.g., adding additional services, changing project specifications), please submit your request at least 24 hours prior to the start of service. Upon receiving your request, we will assess the impact on the project timeline, costs, and overall scope. Any changes to the agreed services will require mutual agreement. We will provide a revised quote detailing any adjustments to the scope, pricing, and timeline. Work related to the change request will commence only after your acceptance of the revised terms.
These additions are designed to protect both Luminary Lawns and our clients by setting clear expectations for handling unexpected situations, ensuring transparency, and maintaining the integrity of our services.
Preparation and Safety
Ensuring a safe and efficient service visit starts with a bit of preparation. Here’s how you can help:
Clear the Green: Before we arrive, please remove any toys, chairs, and other items from the lawn and / or garden. This helps us avoid any damage and ensures a smooth service.
Dog Waste Policy: Customers are responsible for clearing dog waste from their yard before scheduled services commence. If the removal has not been completed beforehand, we will perform the task to prevent it from getting on our equipment and spreading to other properties. The charge for dog waste removal is $9 per bag, which generally covers the waste produced by one dog per week. This fee will be invoiced accordingly.
Safe Space Guidelines: Your safety and the safety of our team are paramount. We ask that during our visit, all pets and people remain indoors or at a safe distance from the service area. This helps us focus on making your lawn look its best without any worries.
Pricing, Policy, and Peace of Mind
Now, onto the essentials that make everything tick. While not as glamorous as lush lawns and vibrant gardens, these policies ensure our partnership thrives on clarity and mutual respect.
Pricing & Payments: We believe in clear, upfront communication about costs. You’ll receive a detailed quote before we start, and (unless otherwise specified) payment is due upon completion of services. A late fee of $10 will be assessed for payments not received within 7 days. If an invoice remains unpaid after 14 days, all future services will be temporarily suspended until the outstanding balance is settled. In the event that an invoice is not paid within 30 days, an additional late fee of $25 will be applied. We require a card (Debit or Credit) on file for all service bookings, and use that card to process your invoice upon completion of service. Any changes to pricing for ongoing service will be communicated in writing at least 2 weeks prior to implementation.
Scheduling & Property Access: Appointment scheduling will be managed by Luminary Lawns. We will send timely notifications via text or email to keep you in the loop of new bookings and visit reminders. On your end, please make sure our team can step right into action by providing clear access to your property, including unlocking any gates and removing obstacles, ensuring no time is wasted in beautifying your space.
Cancellations & Rescheduling: Life’s unpredictable, we get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule, just let us know 24 hours in advance. Weather or unexpected events might also lead us to reschedule, and we’ll inform you promptly of such changes, usually moving appointments to the next business day. For project or monthly services needing rescheduling, we aim for the earliest available slot. Depending on the type of work, projects delayed for more than a week may require a re-evaluation due to ongoing vegetation growth. Opting to skip your regular weekly or bi-weekly service incurs a 40% increase to your next visit’s fee to account for the additional scheduling, wear and tear on equipment, and time in the field caused by the longer growth period.
Liability & Insurance: Luminary Lawns is fully insured for liability related to its services. Please note, Luminary Lawns LLC won’t be held responsible for any damage linked to pre-existing conditions on your property before our services begin.
Privacy Policy: Your information is collected to provide services and will not be shared with third parties without consent. Luminary Lawns adheres to all applicable privacy laws.
Communication Policy: By engaging in our services, you grant Luminary Lawns permission to communicate via text message and email for service updates, scheduling, and other relevant notifications. Customers can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by contacting info@luminarylawns.com.
Beyond the Service
After our team has worked their magic on your lawn and garden, our commitment to your satisfaction doesn’t just end. It’s about more than just maintenance; it’s a partnership for the ongoing health and beauty of your property. Here, we outline how we continue to support you, address any concerns, and ensure that our services have not just met but exceeded your expectations.
Customer Happiness & Issue Resolution: Ensuring your happiness is at the heart of everything we do. We urge you to let us know within 48 hours if our service hasn’t met your expectations, so we can swiftly address and rectify any issues. We’re committed to resolving concerns within 24 hours of your feedback. Your feedback is crucial to our continuous improvement and ensuring your service satisfaction.
Season’s End Wrap-Up: As the season draws to a close, we’ll guide you through any necessary preparations to protect your lawn and garden, ensuring they emerge beautifully next season. Most of our recurring services run through November, but we recognize not all lawns and gardens grow the same; you can pause your service early at any time at your discretion.
Seamless Continuity with Auto-Renewal: For uninterrupted service, our agreements automatically renew. We’ll remind you before renewal, so you’re always in the loop.
Cancel Any Time: Both parties have the freedom to end the service agreement at any time through written notice. Upon termination, any remaining balances will need to be settled.
Luminary Lawns reserves the right to modify, add, or remove portions of our policies at any time to better serve our clients and adapt to changing business needs or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes through our preferred communication channels, ensuring transparency and maintaining trust. Your continued use of our services following such changes will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
